The long table accommodates up to 16 guests, and the house has 8 sleeping spots (an additional 6 sleeping spots can be booked just 100 meters away, with more available within a 6-minute walk).

Three bathing areas and luxury bathtubs. Sauna and infrared sauna, possibly combined with a refreshing dip in the river. Wellness equipment for back massages, reflexology, acupuncture mats, and aromatherapy are available for extra well-being.

AV equipment and home cinema

A large screen from the ceiling beam and a self-calibrating projector make it easy to stream, present, or create a home cinema experience.

Table tennis and games

A table tennis table and a selection of games for fun and cozy moments with friends, family, or colleagues.

Close to nature – even from indoors

From the long table, kitchen, lounge area, and master bedroom, you can enjoy views of the river, untouched nature, and local wildlife, including fallow deer, kingfishers, and birds of prey.

Heat pumps, air conditioning, and intelligent outdoor lighting ensure comfortable temperatures and a wonderful atmosphere, no matter the season.

Nordic Amazon experience

Hop into a kayak, canoe, or onto a paddleboard from the dock and explore the river. In just 15 minutes, you can reach the sea at Dronningmølle’s beaches, or embark on an adventurous boat trip upstream through wild and untouched nature.

Bonfire area and terraces

The large bonfire area for 24 people features two fire pits, grills, and a pizza oven for cozy moments. The west terrace offers stunning sunsets, while the east terrace is perfect for breakfast in the morning sun.

Long tables and community

The long table on the west terrace creates a cozy setting for connection and togetherness, with a sunset view of the river and the opposite bank, where fallow deer roam peacefully, bringing you closer to the authentic wild beauty of nature.

Oasis of peace and spaces for community

The built-in daybed and small beach area with marram grass create a sensory oasis of tranquility. Here, you can let your gaze follow the gentle flow of the river and the vast stretches of preserved natural areas. Allow your soul to find rest in the quiet embrace of nature – or let these special surroundings serve as the backdrop for social events, where nature’s authenticity can create a unique connection between you and unforgettable moments.

An adventurous garden for contemplation and discovery

Cobblestone paths wind between old fruit trees, wildflower beds, and grassy areas, where you can find peace or gather for shared activities. High up in the trees, small treehouses shelter owls, kestrels, and squirrels. The beautiful willow tree by the river also invites moments of reflection and stillness, where time stands still.

Parking and public transport

There are several parking spaces at the property, making it easy to arrive by car. If you are traveling by public transport, Dronningmølle Station is within walking distance. From there, Linde Allé, a charming gravel road, leads you directly to By the River, beautifully situated by the river.

  • Historical excursions with a culinary experience: Dronningmølle is close to several historical attractions, such as the ruins of Gurre Castle and Esrum Abbey, where you can explore fascinating exhibitions about the Middle Ages, including via virtual reality. You can also discover their beautiful herb gardens, hiking trails, and enjoy great food at the abbey as well as at Møllegaarden.
